Building on yesterday's learning curve, the companion rosette ring allowed me to do a better job on the wrapping to the side of the rosette.  I also learned that working on a mandrel is good, but the finished size was about 1/2 to 1 size smaller once I finished the wrapping.  Note to self - next time start with a larger size on the mandrel.
